Moonbeem was founded by a Tisch alumnus whose films have won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize (DINA, 2017) and the Tribeca Audience Award (MALA MALA, 2014), and whose team has spent years running theatrical and festival campaigns from the inside. Every decision in Moonbeem was shaped by that experience: what working distribution actually needs, what the current tools ignore, and how fan energy gets converted into reach when the rights and attribution are handled correctly.
The product exists because the people behind it needed it first. What began as a problem we kept running into on our own campaigns (fans doing the marketing, the industry punishing them for it) became the case for an entirely new layer underneath independent film distribution.

Filmmakers and distributors deserve to be self-sovereign in how their work reaches audiences. That means transparent pricing, data they own, rights they control, and tools that respect the craft. The infrastructure available to independent film has not kept pace with the films themselves — or with what modern tools can support in engagement, attribution, and audience relationships. Moonbeem is built to close that gap at the protocol layer: rights-cleared at the source, cryptographically attributed at every hop, and monetizable for every stakeholder in the chain.
